Mother was one of a kind.There will never be another like her. She touched every life that ever came in touch with her. I was one of the lucky ones to have known her and could call her Mother. She was my mother in law and I loved her dearly. My life would not be the same if I hadn't come in contact with her. I thank the Lord everyday for bringing me into her life and that of her son Bob, my husband. Always a kind word and a prayer said by her each time you were with her. I'm so happy that she approved of me and graciously accepted me into her family.Thank you all for sharing your precious Mother with me. Rita you were loved by all who knew you,now fly with the angels and watch over your family from above as you always did here on earth. Will love you always, your daughter-in-law, Cheryl

Dear Neighbors on Waits Road, I have so many great memories of "Grandma Rita", The best are sitting at her table drinking coffee and sharing a snack while children splashed in the pool. I have visions of her heavenly garden as her earthly one was unbelievable. Many, many years ago when my dad had a heart attack, it was winter and she couldn't give him fresh flowers. She brought down an arrangement of silk roses in a mug. I still have that arrangement sitting on that dresser (I brought it from Owego) - exactly where your mother had put it. I only had a couple of times I could visit her at the nursing home, but I remember how well the staff spoke of her family's care and love for their mother/grandmother. You made her proud. Wayne and Family Though words, however gentle, can not take your loss away, still may this note of sympathy help comfort you today. I know that this is a very difficult time for you but I pray that you can take some comfort in knowing that others share very deeply in your loss. It is often difficult to find the right words and they seem so inadequate to express the sadness I feel for the loss of your mom. I have been there and will not tell you that time will heal the hurt and take away the sadness you are feeling for your mom today. But we will tell you that time will help you deal with the loss better and help you remember all the good times you have shared with your mom. I know my life has been touched and inriched by Rita and the same can be said by the many, many people she touched in her many years of life.
