Raymond E. Swansbrough, 35, of Nichols passed away at home on Thursday, March 4, 2010 surrounded by his loving family.  Ray was predeceased by father, Raymond Swansbrough. Ray is survived his mother, Eva Craft Swansbrough, brothers and sisters, Eva Harris of Elmira,  Cecile (William Jr) Burdick of Nichols, Dana (Melissa) Swansbrough of Nichols, Frank Sr. (Tammy) Swansbrough of Candor, and Elizabeth Decker of SC; and 19 nephews and nieces; and one great niece.  Ray loved to farm and loved his ponies, Thunder and Lightning. Ray was always working on cars and running in the derby. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main Street, Candor with Rev. Dale Post officiating. Family invites friends to call from 10 to 10:45 AM prior to the funeral at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in the spring.

Message: Although we are not siblings by blood we were raised as siblings and i wouldn't change that for the world he was the best big brother a girl could ask for,i haven't been able to spend much time with him since i moved away but the little time i did have with him will be forever cherrished, i am so glad that god gave me him as a brother,i love you ray
