Message:  My deepest sympathies to Mary's family. I had the privlege of being Mary's hairdresser for many years at the Office for the Ageing beauty salon in Owego. The very first piroghe I ever ate was made by Mary about 30 years ago--absolutely delicious. Mary brought me many more over the years, each as good as the first! I loved Mary's stories of her family, who she deeply loved. I was sorry to hear that Jim is deceased. Mary was so proud of all of her children and grandchildren. About 9 yrs ago,I was leaving the beauty salon to take care of my grandbabies, and Mary happened to be my last customer of the day, and I started to cry. I said, "Mary, I didn't think you'd be my last lady today" She said, "Well, I was one of your first, so it's only right".. so true. When I got the chance to return to the salon 6 yrs later, sadly I learned that Mary was no longer able to be at home. Everyone at the Community Center has missed Mary and her cheerful nature. She was t!
he best. I am thankful for having known her, and I am a better person because of it. God Bless you all. Cheryl Elston

Message:  A long time ago we lived in Binghamton like a lot of other people did. In all honesty, some of my fondest memories of that area were of Stan and Mary. We shared friends with the Sebestas down the street and spent many a Friday night playing cards. I still remember helping pull the radio tower up in back of there house in Owego. Still have the jacket that Mary sewed back up when I tore it on the tower. I will be looking forward to seeing them again some day. Take care.

Bob and Lori
