Kenneth W. Short, Sr.
Kenneth W. Short, Sr., 93, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Mr. Short was predeceased by his wife, Thelma; son, David, daughter, Carol Ann; granddaughter, Melody. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Kenneth L. and Donna Short, Candor, Roger Short, Groton, Stephen and Joyce Short, Newark Valley; son-in-law, Roy Rogers; step-children, Herson White, Owego, William and Marie White, Owego, Charlene and George Sposato, FL; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Juna Tinkham, Apalachin; several nieces and nephews. Ken retired from IBM, Owego in 1974 after 32 years of service. He will be remembered for his love of trapping, fur buying, purchasing antiques and setting up his stands at various flea markets. He could always be found traveling around Owego either reading the paper or meeting with his buddies to discuss trying to solve problems of the World. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego with the Rev. Loretta Perry, officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth W.
