 Of Candor

Doris M. Edwards, 75, of Candor passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010.  Doris was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Susie Kirk; two husbands, Robert Rennells, Sr. and Paul Edwards; brother, Kenneth Kirk. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert (Terri) Rennells, Jr., Leroy (Darlene) Rennells, Daniel (Rhonda) Rennells, Steven (Susan) Rennells; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Beckie, Jason, Joshua, Sarah, James, Ryan, Mackenzi; 11 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Donna Kirk, Jr.; dear friend, Jim Krisko; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Candor.  Burial will follow in the Smith Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Doris M. Edwards’s memory to the National Audubon Society, 225 Varick St., 7^th Floor, New York, NY 10014 or the American Cancer Society – Tioga County Unit, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY 13790.

Message: I'm very sad to hear of Doris' passing. I had the pleasure of meeting her a couple of years ago when I was up in Owego with Group Workcamps. I was the adult leader of the group that worked on her home. She was a lovely lady and so gracious. Such a beautiful and warm smile. I wish you all the peace and love that only God can provide.
