David W. Hollenbeck, Sr.

Formerly of Owego

David W. Hollenbeck, Sr., 83, of Owego, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.  Mr. Hollenbeck was predeceased by his wife, Gladys Hollenbeck; sister, Stella Casper.  He is survived by his children and their spouses, Ken and Carol Hollenbeck of Johnson City, Kevin Hollenbeck of Endicott, David Hollenbeck, Jr. or Owego, Susan and Max Titocci of Endicott; grandchildren, Nichole Barrett, Patrick Hollenbeck, Victoria and Christina Titocci and Dakota Hollenbeck; great grandson, Theisen Hollenbeck. David loved to walk, and enjoyed gardening. David always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. We would like to offer special thanks to the staff at Elderwood Nursing Home for their exceptional kindness and care during Dad’s stay with them. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego with the Rev. William Moorby, officiating. Burial will follow in the Tioga Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 10 to 11 am prior to the services at the funeral home.

Message: Wanted to let you know that I join you in your sorrow. Dave and I became good friends over the past several years. I'll miss him as I know you will also.  We would look through the catalog[Collections, Etc.]and he enjoyed that.
